DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. According to sources,a total of 12 oil workers died in a pipeline explosion which occurred yesterday thursday afternoon at Agip's oil fields in Azuzuama in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in Bayelsa.A statement issued by Mr Filipo Cotalini,a spokesman for Eni,the parent company of NAOC,today friday in Yenagoa's,said that three others were injured in the explosion at an oil spill site.''The cause of an explosion which occurred yesterday,9 July,late in the afternoon,at the site of the repair works of the Tebidaba Clough Creek line,an oil pipeline in Nigeria's onshore Niger Delta,previously damaged by acts of sabotage,was under investigation.The explosion resulted in the death of 12 member of the maintenance team of a local company of services,with three others also injured.The cause of the incident is still under investigation by both Eni and the local authorities.The company expresses its deepest condolences to the families of those involved in this tragic accident''.
