 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. AUSTRALIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER TO NIGERIA,SAID I,300 NIGERIANS HAVE BEEN ADMITTED TO DIFFERENT AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITIES.

                                                   The Australian High Commissioner to Nigeria,Mr Jonathan Richardson,disclosed this yesterday tuesday that 1,300 Nigerian students have been admitted into different Australian universities this year.Richardson said this in a statement issued by the Commission's Research and Public Affairs Officer,Mr Okokon Odiogenyi,and made it available to NAN in Lagos.''The High Commissioner will speak on Australia's place in the world and its bilateral engagement with Nigeria.He will also invite the students to attend the Australia Future Unlimited West Africa Education Exhibition Scheduled to hold in Lagos in September.The Exhibition is expected to provide Nigerian students with an opportunity to engage with Australian Universities and learn more about opportunities for pursuing postgraduate study in Australia''.The statement enjoined young Nigerians to avail themselves of the existing educational opportunities in Australia.He said that the number of students would increase by the end of the year.If our universities are really up to standard,who will be talking about traveling abroad to study.
