 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. GEORGE CLOONEY,LAUNCHED AN INITIATIVE YESTERDAY,THAT WILL HELP TRACE SPONSORS OF WARS IN AFRICA.

               Yesterday monday,54 year old Hollywood actor George Clooney,launched an initiative to track down and help bring to justice those funding and profiting from Africa' deadliest conflicts,in a bid to fight corruption in war zones.George Clooney joined forces with US human rights activist John Prendergast in a project called The Sentry that aims to investigate the flow of money in and out of conflict zones and give policy makers the tools to take effective action.Using data collection,field research and analysis technology,the initiative plans to expose how conflict is financed and profits laundered,with a website that encourages people to anonymously submit leaks and tips. George Clooney said the aim is to ''Deny war profiteers the proceeds from their crimes.Real leverage for peace and human rights will come when the people who benefit from war will pay a price for the damage they cause''
