Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. According to sources,Chad has executed 10 members of Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram by firing squad,a day after they were sentenced on terrorism charges.A security source said ''They were shot this morning at the Massaguel firing range,northeast of the capital of N'Djamena''.Among the executed was Mahamat Moustapha,a 30 year old Cameroonian who was accused of masterminding a series of attacks on N'Djamena.More than 40 people were killed in those attacks in June and July,prompting Chadian President Idriss Deby to introduce a series of tough new anti terror laws.
