 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. 200 AFRICAN MIGRANT DIED YESTERDAY,AFTER A BOAT SANK OFF LIBYA COAST.

                 It was reported today that a boat packed with mainly African migrants bound for Italy sank off the Libyan coast yesterday thursday and officials said up to 200 people might have died.A security official in the western town of Zuwara,from where the over crowded boat had set off,said there had been around 400 people on board.Many appeared to have been trapped in the hold when it capsized.By late in the evening,the Libyan coast guard rescued around 201 of which 147 were brought to a detention facility for illegal migrants in Sabratha,west of Tripoli.The migrants on board had been from sub-Saharan Africa,Pakistan,Syria,Morocco and Bangladesh.One more photo below.                                                          Photo
