 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. 4 ROBBERY SUSPECTS,ARRESTED & TAKEN TO THE POLICE STATION BY RESIDENTS OF AYOBO IN IPAJA.

                  According to sources,a brave residents of Ayobo in Ipaja area of Lagos state,have arrested four suspects who allegedly came in the night to rob the residents.The incident happened at Ashapa area of Ayobo in Ipaja.The residents also recovered arms such as guns,cutlasses,knives,charms and other weapons from the robbers.The suspects allegedly invaded the area with their arms to rob the residents at about 3.00 am on sunday.The residents resisted and pursued them into a bush in the area.They mobilized other residents who surrounded the bush and combed it,and eventually arrested four of the suspects,while one of them escaped.They handed over the four suspects and the weapons they recovered from them,were given to the police in Ipaja division who transferred the suspects to the Commissioner of Police at the Command's Headquarters in Ikeja.The commissioner of police,Mr Fatai Owoseni,who saw the suspects and some of the residents at the State Command commended the residents for their efforts in policing their community.Some of the residents who spoke to pressmen confirmed that robbers have been terrorizing them and they had to mobilise themselves to ward off the robbery attacks.It was while some groups were on guard at night that the suspects came and they raised the alarm which attracted other residents and it led to the arrest of the suspects.
