DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Today wednesday,South Sudan's president signed a peace deal to end a 20 month conflict with rebels but he told regional African leaders at the ceremony in Juba that he had serious reservations.President Salva Kiir,who led South Sudan since it seeded from Sudan in 2011,asked for more time for consultations last week,drawing threats of UN sanctions if he failed to sign the peace deal with a two week deadline.Kiir said ''With all those reservations that we have,we will sign this document''.His long time rival and rebel leader Riek Machar,who is expected to become the first vice president under the deal,signed the document since last week in the Ethiopian capital.The conflict erupted in December 2013 after a power struggle between Machar,an ethnic Nuer,and Kiir from the dominant Dinka group.The deal follows month of on off negotiations,hosted by Ethiopia,and several broken ceasefire agreements.Rebels said they captured a town South of Juba today wednesday after their troops were attacked,and that there had been others fighting with government forces.Kiir told the ceremony that rebels launched a raid in the north of the county earlier in the day.''Now you can see who is for peace and who is for continued war''.Machar was Kiir's deputy until he was sacked in 2013 under the deal,he is expected to become Kiir's top deputy again.One more photo below.
