 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

According to Fox, the president and general manager at WDBJ said '[Vester] was a difficult person for a lot of people to work with'                         A 41 year old black man identified as Vester Lee Flanagan II claimed the shooting of the two WDBJ-TV reporters,committed suicide after he posted the videos online and sent out letters.He blamed his actions today through a 23 page letter that the Charleston South Carolina church shooting made him buy a gun to commit today's crime.He sent the letter to ABC News two hours after the shooting.Vester was raised a Jehovah witness in California and in the letters,he detailed his reasons for today killings.Vester said ''What sent me over the top was the church shooting and my hallow point bullets have the victims''.He killed Alison because she had made some racist comments and they still hired her in the T.V station''.Vester Lee Flanagan II,who had a court case history of racism he filed against a TV station,was once a reporter in the WDBJ 7 station before he took his own life today.Authorities confirmed that he died of self inflicted gunshot wound which is suicide.After he carried out the shooting he fled and posted videos of the attack on social media and also twitting about his grudges against the two young journalist in a twitter rant.Five hours later,police corned him in a car chase and he attempted to commit suicide,in which he initially survived the gunshot wound,ut he died not long after around 1:30pm.More photos below.                                                                                   A disgruntled former news reporter filmed himself executing two of his ex-coworkers as they shot a live television segment in Moneta, Virginia Wednesday morning.
