 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. U.N SECRETARY GENERAL BAN KI-MOON,ARRIVED NIGERIA EARLIER TODAY.

                  Today sunday,United Nation Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived Nigeria to commemorate the bombing of the UN's headquarters by Islamist sect Boko Haram and also to focus new attention on over 200 school girls kidnapped in chibok,Borno state by the ruthless extremists.Ki-moon will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari tomorrow  monday,amid plans to launch a long delayed regional offensive against the Islamic insurgents who have since pledged allegiance to the Islamic state.A UN statement says the leaders will discuss ways to counter violent extremism as well as human rights and climate change.Ki-moon will also meet the Bring Back Our Girls group and he will lay a wreath to mark the anniversary of the August 26,2011 suicide car bombing that killed 21 people at the UN Nigeria headquarters in Abuja.
