Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. Today thursday,about 10 people were killed and 100 wounded when a bomb went off near an army camp in northern Cameroon,where soldiers are battling Boko Haram fighters from Nigeria.The second blast was at a town ''Kerawa'', which is far north region that a clash happened in February between Boko Haram militants and government soldiers.A senior army officer based in northern Cameroon said ''For the moment there are around 10 dead and about 100 wounded in the attack near the camp.We're still awaiting a report from our teams on the bombing at the market''.The first bomb exploded in the morning in the market in Kerawa and the other soon after near a camp housing infantry soldiers stationed in the north to fight the Nigerian Islamist group.A local government official said he had been told that the attacks were carried out by female bombers.
