DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. According to the Executive Secretary,Gombe state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,Alhaji Usman Gurama told newsmen in Mina,Saudi Arabia today saturday that five pilgrims from Gombe state have been declared missing in Saudi Arabia and the pilgrims could not be located since thursday.He said that members of the medical team had been checking hospitals and mortuaries with a view to locating them or their remains.He however said that for now,it had not been confirmed as to whether they were among those who died as a result of thursday's incident at the stone throwing venue called ''Jamrat'',where over 700 pilgrims died.Gurama confirmed that seven pilgrims from the state were injured at the scene of the incident and were responding to treatment.Meanwhile the Governor of Gombe state Ibrahim Dankwambo,today saturday gave the sate pilgrims 585,300 {N32.7 million } as Sallah gift.Each pilgrims had received 300 Saudi Riyals {N16,800}.
