 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. HORSE OR DONKEY RIDES,BANNED IN BORNO STATE BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY.

                It was reported yesterday by sources that horse riding and donkeys in Borno state,has been outlawed by the Nigerian military because of the recent attack strategy by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram.The Boko Haram have started attacking innocent people and villages on horseback.The military communicated the decision through the Shehu of Borno,Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi.Last week,Boko Haram members on horseback killed over 80 people in three villages of the state,with similar attacks also reported in other past of the north east region.It was against this that the military said {A resident reported speech} ''Issued a ban on horse riding and the Shehu {of Borno} gathered us all and informed us of the decision.He told us that despite the fact that the people of Borno have been known with riding horses,that should be stopped henceforth.If the soldiers spotted anyone on horse back,they cannot determine his true identity''.
