DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Today sunday,the National Agency for food and Drug Administration and Control {NAFDAC} in Jigawa said that it confiscated fake and unregistered drugs worth four million naira in the last two years.The NAFDAC State Coordinator Mr Olaniran Olakunle,disclosed this in Dutse while presenting to newsmen some suspects allegedly arrested with fake drugs in Gwaram and Malammadori Local Government areas.Olakunle said that most of the suspects arrested with fake and counterfeit drugs during the period were in rural communities across the state.He said that fake drugs such as mixacrip tablets,herpgra,busaka,polycid and tramadol capsule were seized from some patent medicine vendors in Gwaram and Malammadori last week.The value of drugs seized from them is about N250,000.The coordinators said the suspects were being investigated to ascertain the sources of the products in order to bring the entire chain to justice.He further said that the suspects would soon be charged to court.He urged members of the public to be vigilant and patronise only registered pharmacies in their localities.
