A MANHUNT IS UNDERWAY FOR MAN WHO SHOT A GRANITE CITY POLICE OFFICER MULTIPLE TIMES.(PHOTO).

  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. SOME BOKO HARAM MEMBERS IN SAMBISA FOREST,ARE SURRENDERING WILLINGLY.

                 I just got a report from Vangaurd that some Boko Haram members have started surrendering willingly to the Nigerian troops following the offensive by ground troops and air strikes on Sambisa by the Nigerian Air force.Many of the terrorists were seen moving out of the Sambisa forest because they can't stand the heat from the Nigerian troops.A statement  by the acting Director of Public Relations,Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman noted that the action of the terrorists,meant to escape collateral damage,was due to the new offensive strategies put in place for operation Lafiya Dole by the military high command.
