 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 428 PEOPLE DIED FROM THE MEASLES OUTBREAK IN CONGO.-UNITED NATIONS

                      According to the United Nations who said today friday that the measles outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo's copper mining,has killed 428 people and infected about 30,000 people since the beginning of the year.More than 100 deaths and 10,000 additional cases have been recorded since mid August,when the United Nations committed $2.4 million to fight the outbreak in the former province of Katanga,which was recently divided into four.Humanitarian groups said the money was not enough and poor roads and health services in the region were hindering vaccination drives.Yvon Edoumou,spokesman for the U.N Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs {OCHA},said ''We have contained the disease somewhat in the short term,but it's sad to see that the disease is still progressing''.One more photo below.
