 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. POPULAR LADIPO MARKET IN MUSHIN,DEMOLISHED COMPLETELY YESTERDAY INDEPENDENCE DAY.

               Yesterday thursday around 4:30 pm in Mushin popular market called Ladipo market,were in shock when bulldozer and a team of security personnel arrived the market to demolish the market for reconstruction.The exercise continues today friday after traders were yesterday ordered to leave the market with their goods and when they attempted to resist,the bulldozer moved in and started the demolition.Some goods were destroyed as many of the traders were not in their shops because of the Independence Day celebration and public holidays.The traders through their leaders alleged that they were not carried along before the plans to re-construct the market was carried out.They expressed concern over what happened to shop owners in other markets where such reconstruction was carried out and they never got back their shops after reconstruction.It was because of that they resisted the plan and went to a Lagos High Court to obtain an injunction to stop the demolition.Following the order,the traders developer and Mushin Local Government went into discussion and negotiation which led to a truce and the traders,through their BOT chairman,Nnamdi Chukwuka,withdrew the matter from the court.It was gathered that at the meeting it was agreed that the traders would vacate their shops on 1st of October,2015 for work to begin in some parts of the market.It was in line with the agreement that the developer moved in and started the demolition.Though other traders said they had agreed to vacate the market on Sunday 4th of October for work to start on monday 5th of October.One more photo below.
