PRESIDENT HAGE GEINGOB OF NAMIBIA,PLEDGES 20% OF HIS SALARY TO THE POOR.

                       The President of Namibia Hage Geingob,made the pledge on saturday when he addressed the ruling Swapo Party rally in Windhoek where he officially launched the party's campaign for next month's regional and local authorities elections.President Hage Geingob was heard saying to his supporters who gathered at the Katutura Multi-purpose centre that ''I am ready to set aside 20 percent of my salary in order to set up a scolarship fund for impoverished children''.President Hage Geingob earns about 2 million Namibian dollars {about 76,000 U.S dollars} per year and this means he will give away about 400,000 Namibian dollars {30,580 U.S dollars}.From research,it was discovered that the Namibian government has made poverty eradication a special focus,so they created a whole ministry for it ''Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare''.One more photo below.
