 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. PRESIDENT HAGE GEINGOB OF NAMIBIA,PLEDGES 20% OF HIS SALARY TO THE POOR.

                       The President of Namibia Hage Geingob,made the pledge on saturday when he addressed the ruling Swapo Party rally in Windhoek where he officially launched the party's campaign for next month's regional and local authorities elections.President Hage Geingob was heard saying to his supporters who gathered at the Katutura Multi-purpose centre that ''I am ready to set aside 20 percent of my salary in order to set up a scolarship fund for impoverished children''.President Hage Geingob earns about 2 million Namibian dollars {about 76,000 U.S dollars} per year and this means he will give away about 400,000 Namibian dollars {30,580 U.S dollars}.From research,it was discovered that the Namibian government has made poverty eradication a special focus,so they created a whole ministry for it ''Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare''.One more photo below.
