STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA. It was reported that the Duke of Cambridge Prince William {Royal Patron},joined Child Bereavement UK staff,volunteers and supporters at a gala dinner to mark the charity's 21st Anniversary.Speaking at the event that took place on the 15th of October 2015,Prince William said ''Twenty one years ago last month,my mother attended the launch of the Child Bereavement Charity.Fifteen years later,i was honoured to be invited to become Patron of Child Bereavement UK to continue my mother's commitment to a charity which is very dear to me.What my mother recognised back then and what i understand now is that grief is the most painful experience that any child or parent can endure..Tonight we celebrate the enormous,positive difference this charity has made to bereaved families across the country''.His mother Lady Diana is pictured below in the same event in 1994.Congrats to him and more photos below.
