Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. Today wednesday Mr Tajudeen Disu,the Managing Director of the Lekki Free Trade Zone,LFTZ Limited,was buried at the Vault and Garden in Ikoyi,Lagos.According to sources,as Mr Disu's body was being lowered to the ground,family members,relatives and friends wept bitterly as they paid their last respects to the departed.Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was represented in the Burial by his deputy,Dr Idiat Adebule,Secretary to the State Government,SSG,Mr Tunji Bello,former deputy governors of Lagos State,Mr Femi Pedro and Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu etc.At the reception after the burial ceremony held at the Lagos Citty Hall,Dr Zikrulahi Adenugba,lecturer from Al-Hikma University,who delivered the ser mon said Disu died as a martyr,while he urged the Lagos State Government to keep the legacy he laboured for before his death.He said government should support the family in whatever they intended to do and ensured that they were well catered for.The son of the deceased Ibrahim Disu said ''I knew my father was great but i didn't know how it was until his death.Five minutes after his death,everyone had taken over the responsibilities for the burial ceremony.I must thank everyone who had rallied the family since his death.
