Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him. The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers, The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. Today wednesday Mr Tajudeen Disu,the Managing Director of the Lekki Free Trade Zone,LFTZ Limited,was buried at the Vault and Garden in Ikoyi,Lagos.According to sources,as Mr Disu's body was being lowered to the ground,family members,relatives and friends wept bitterly as they paid their last respects to the departed.Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was represented in the Burial by his deputy,Dr Idiat Adebule,Secretary to the State Government,SSG,Mr Tunji Bello,former deputy governors of Lagos State,Mr Femi Pedro and Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu etc.At the reception after the burial ceremony held at the Lagos Citty Hall,Dr Zikrulahi Adenugba,lecturer from Al-Hikma University,who delivered the ser mon said Disu died as a martyr,while he urged the Lagos State Government to keep the legacy he laboured for before his death.He said government should support the family in whatever they intended to do and ensured that they were well catered for.The son of the deceased Ibrahim Disu said ''I knew my father was great but i didn't know how it was until his death.Five minutes after his death,everyone had taken over the responsibilities for the burial ceremony.I must thank everyone who had rallied the family since his death.
