 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state. A POPULAR IJAW MUSICIAN ''PEREAMA FREETOWN'',KIDNAPPED TODAY AT YENAGOA BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN.

                                                               According to the Nation and my sources who collaborated   this story about an hour ago and my source said a popular Ijaw musician Pereama Freetown,was today sunday abducted in Bayelsa state by unidentified gunmen.It was gathered that before kidnapping their target,the gunmen shot sporadically,killing one Ebikabowei Mbu while several others were injured.The incident occurred at about 3:00am in Polako community in Yenagoa Local government area of the state.The assailments reportedly stormed the area during a funeral wake-keep opened fire and forced people to scamper to safety.Another source said the unknown gunmen came on a speed boat through the Polako Ri.ver.One more photo below.
