DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. According to the Nigerian Police Command in Abia state,who confirmed yesterday tuesday that a woman allegedly sold her three year old grandson to a ritualist.The Command's apokesman,DSP Udeviotu Onyeke told pressmen that the woman was in the custody of the police in Umuobiakwa,as investigation continues.He said that part of the investigation being carried out was to determine the sanity of the woman.The woman,who hailed from Onitsha Ngwa in Obingwa Local Government of the state,had left the village with the child and returned a week later to report that he was missing. Sources in the village said that when the suspect was questioned about the missing boy,her response trigered suspicion,thereby prompting the villagers to invite the police.The suspect allegedly told the police that she sold the boy for N100,000 to a native doctor in Akwa Ibom and wanted to use the money to buy a motorcycle before the end of the year.The police spokesman however said that the woman had since changed her statement claiming that the boy was with her sister in Aba.
