TROOPS OF OPERATION UDO KA UNCOVER SHALLOW GRAVE, EXHUME REMAINS OF LATE COMMUNITY LEADER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDO KA and through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have achieved another significant breakthrough with the recovery and dignified exhumation of the remains of the late Chief Ibe Anyadu of Aggah Community. Chief Anyadu was allegedly murdered by suspected members of a criminal gang recently apprehended in connection with violent crimes in the region. This development follows recent intelligence-driven operations that led to the arrest of suspects responsible for the killing of a Nigerian Army soldier and the recovery of stolen service weapons. During interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to involvement in the murder of Chief Anyadu and volunteered to lead troops to the burial site. The Commonwealth has appointed former President Goodluck Jonathan to lead the charge for the resolution of the political stalemate in the semi-independent Island of Zanzibar.Jonathan's new appointment as Commonwealth Special representative is seen as an affirmation of the former President's towering status as the moral face of democracy and transparent polling in Africa,The new appointment was conveyed to Jonathan last week in a letter sent to him by the Commonwealth Secretary General,Mr Kamalesh Sharma.Goodluck Jonathan's appointment followed his highly acclaimed leadership of the Commonwealth Observer Group {COG} to last months's Tanzania general election.After the October 25 general election which produced John Magufuli as the new President of Tanzania,the Jonathan led COG and other international observers had endorsed the polling processes as credible.Now John has been drafted to quell the tension brewing on the Island of Zanzibar,following the nullification of the Presidential election results by the local electoral body,citing irregularities.International observers have continued to dispute the decision,on the grounds that both the voting and counting processes were held in an atmosphere of peace.One more photo below.
