Peter Obi lies like fish drinking water –Festus Keyamo Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has accused the 2027 Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of deliberately fabricating claims regarding a recent airport incident. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ on Thursday night, July 30, Keyamo alleged that Obi lied about his experience at the airport to score political points. “That man was lying. He lies like a fish drinking water. He lies. He lies for fun,” Keyamo stated. The Minister noted that Obi had publicly complained of facing harassment from airport officials strictly due to his opposition status. Today monday Elder Godsday Orubebe was arraigned by the Code of Conduct Tribunak {CCT} on a four count charge of false declaration of assets and acceptance of about N70 Million bribe.Orubebe who was a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs,entered the courtroom few minutes to 11:am and he was ordered to enter the dock by the Chairman of the tribunal Justice Danladi Umar.The court said Orubebe while serving as a minister on or about June 29,2011 did make a false declaration in his declaration form.Then around September 19,2012 asked for and accepted the sum of fifty million naira from one Pastor {Dr} Jonathan,as bribe for the contract awarded in favour of his company,Chemtronics Nigeria Limited.Then aroundd twenty thirteen still as a minister,he asked for and accepted the sum of twenty million naira from one Pastor {Dr} Jonathan Alota as additional bribe for the contract awarded in favour of his company Chemtronics Nigeria Limited ffor the aquisition Centre at Edo state for the sum of one billion naira eighty eight kobo {N1,799,914,251.88k}Orubebe pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against him.The case was adjourned to 26th November 2015 for hearing.
