NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. Yesterday saturday the 14th of November ,my mother in red blouse Chief Mrs Kate Egbe {Nkpulunma} and other women whom have contributed immensely to the development of the Awka Development Union Lagos Branch,were conferred and awarded either as a Diamond mother for the older generation and Golden for the younger generation.The event was organized by the women's wing of the ADU Lagos branch, at the Awka Town Hall,Apple junction,Amuwo Odofin Lagos.The event was put together by their president Mrs Ogochukwu Nwobu {Munachim} to raise money for widows and women who cannot help themselves.The occasion was under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief {Sir} Amobi Nwokafor.The occasion was graced with who is who in the Awka rich society.Just in case you missed the event and you are from Awka state capital based in Lagos and in the east.The pictures below gives you an incite of the event.More photos below.
