Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. 72 year old Mrs Beauty Siasia,the mother of Samson Siasaia who was kidnapped early this month was released today.According ASP Asinmi Butswat,police spokesman in Bayelsa said the kidnappers freed the victim following a clampdown on their location by men of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of police in the state.He said that the victim,72,who was abducted on November 16,was dropped off at about 1:30am today saturday.''She is hale and hearty and has been reunited with her family and the police have intensified efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects''.Samson Siasia is the coach for the Nigerian Under-23 National Team.
