 INDEPENDENT CORRUPT PRACTICES AND OTHER RELATED OFFENCES COMMISSION (ICPC) Tuesday 16th December, 2025 MEDIA RELEASE The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) writes to confirm that it received a formal petition today Tuesday 16th December, 2025 from Alhaji Aliko Dangote through his lawyer. THERE WILL BE NO FRESH POLLS IN KOGI STATE-INEC.

                           In a statement issued today and signed by Augusta Ogakwu said ''The Independence National Electoral Commission conducted Governorship Election in Kogi state on 21st November 2015,which was declared inconclusive.On the 23rd November 2015,the All Progressives Congress {APC} notified the Commission of the death of its Governorship candidate in the election,Prince Abubakar Audu.The Commission has,after due consideration of the circumstances,decided as follows {i}To conclude the process by conducting election in the 91 affected Polling Units as announced by the Returning Officer.
{ii}To allow the All Progressives Congress to fill the vacancy created by the death of its candidates.
{iii}To conduct the supplementary election on 5th December,2015.
Accordingly,notice is hereby given to all the 22 political parties participating in the Kogi Governorship Election supplementary election in the 91 affected Polling Units shall hold on 5th December,2015.
