 NDLEA secures order to detain vessel, 21 crew members over cocaine shipment from Brazil  . We remain resolute to frustrate drug syndicates targeting Nigeria, says Marwa The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has secured an order of a Federal High Court in Lagos to detain a ship, its captain and 20 other crew members following the seizure of 25.5 kilograms of cocaine in the hatch of the commodity vessel from Brazil at the Apapa seaport in Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Operatives of the NDLEA acting on credible intelligence had on 6th December 2025 discovered the cocaine consignment aboard the merchant vessel MV San Anthonio from Brazil. After the full discharge of cargo from the ship, a total of 21 crew members of diverse nationalities including Russia, Phillipines, Ukraine and Azerbaijan were taken into NDLEA custody along with the drug exhibits. AERO PLANE THAT LANDED IN BAUCHI,USE LADDER TO DISEMBARK THEIR PASSENGERS YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

                                               Yesterday saturday,it was learnt that  Aero aircraft that took off from Abuja and landed in Bauchi Airport had problems with unserviceable equipment by the airport management in disembarking about 34 from the airport.The use of ladder to disembark passengers is against the standard aviation practice as prescribed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation {ICAO} on passengers facilitation.According to the airline,at the time the 34 passengers were boarding the chartered flight at Abuja Airport,the air stairs was functional.The airline confirmed the incident in a statement by SY & T,Media consultant to the Aero Contractors,it explained ''A special charter flight operated by Aero to Bauchi had problems with unserviceable equipment by the airport management in disembarking about 34 passengers from Abuja.Consequently against the airline's,the passengers used a ladder to disembark.Aero wishes to state that it took adequate and safety measures for this operation,including the airport's ground staff crew to handle the air stair equipment in Bauchi,unfortunately it became unserviceable at the point of disembarkation.Although the airline crew tried to calm down the passengers to wait while the equipment was being fixed,the passengers insisted on their own volition to disembark against all safety protocol of the airline''.More photos below.
