 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being. AERO PLANE THAT LANDED IN BAUCHI,USE LADDER TO DISEMBARK THEIR PASSENGERS YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

                                               Yesterday saturday,it was learnt that  Aero aircraft that took off from Abuja and landed in Bauchi Airport had problems with unserviceable equipment by the airport management in disembarking about 34 from the airport.The use of ladder to disembark passengers is against the standard aviation practice as prescribed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation {ICAO} on passengers facilitation.According to the airline,at the time the 34 passengers were boarding the chartered flight at Abuja Airport,the air stairs was functional.The airline confirmed the incident in a statement by SY & T,Media consultant to the Aero Contractors,it explained ''A special charter flight operated by Aero to Bauchi had problems with unserviceable equipment by the airport management in disembarking about 34 passengers from Abuja.Consequently against the airline's,the passengers used a ladder to disembark.Aero wishes to state that it took adequate and safety measures for this operation,including the airport's ground staff crew to handle the air stair equipment in Bauchi,unfortunately it became unserviceable at the point of disembarkation.Although the airline crew tried to calm down the passengers to wait while the equipment was being fixed,the passengers insisted on their own volition to disembark against all safety protocol of the airline''.More photos below.
