Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. Today wednesday,the Magistrate in the Chief Magistrate court in Wuse zone 2 Abuja Shuaibu Usman,discharged the director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra {IPOB},Nnamdi Kanu on all counts of criminal conspiracy and ownership of an unlawful society filed against him by the Federaal Government.The Judge who held that government has dropped the charges against Kanu said ''The accused person is hereby discharged and the case struck out''.The Federal Government through its agent,the Department of State Services {DSS},opted to withdraw the case at the lower court and moved to higher court,which has jurisdiction to handle terrorism related cases.Usman was scheduled to deliver judgement on the DSS application on December 1,but put it off untill wednesday.One more photo below.
