 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. THE BIGGEST JESUS CHRIST STATUE,TO BE UNVEILED TOMORROW IN IMO STATE.

                       A Nigerian businessman will unveil the statue that he says is the biggest one of its kind,describing it as a symbol of peace in Nigeria.Obinna Onuoha commissioned the 8.53m tall ''Jesus de Greatest'' statue in 2013,hiring a Chinese company to carve it out of white marble.The 40 ton statue of Jesus standing barefoot with arms outstretched will tower over St.Aloysius Catholic Church in the mainly Christian village of Abajah in Nigeria's south eastern state .43 Onuoha  old chief executive officer of an oil and gas distribution company said ''It's going to be the biggest statue of Jesus on the continent''.Around 1000 pilgrims are expected to attend the statue's unveiling tomorrow New Year's day.Onuoha further said that he has contracted the police to ensure that the statue is not attacked or vandalized.One more photo below.
