 INDEPENDENT CORRUPT PRACTICES AND OTHER RELATED OFFENCES COMMISSION (ICPC) Tuesday 16th December, 2025 MEDIA RELEASE The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) writes to confirm that it received a formal petition today Tuesday 16th December, 2025 from Alhaji Aliko Dangote through his lawyer. THE DEATH TOLL FROM FRIDAY CLASH IN BURUNDI,RISES TO 90.

                Nearly 90 people were killed during Friday's clashes in Burundi capital.Blasts and gunfire echoed around Bujumbura for most of friday and residents said officials spent the day collecting dead bodies sprayed with bullets from the street of the city.Army spokesman Gaspard Baratuza said gunmen had attacked three military sites in Bujumbura,kindling a day of clashes across the city.He said 79 attackers were killed and 45 others captured.Four police officers and four soldiers also died.He said further that Swep operations have finished now and officials confiscated weapons and ammunition.The unrest in Burundi started in April when President Pierre Nkurunziza announced plans for a third term in office.More photos below.
