 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. VICE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA OSINBAJO,ARRIVED BURKINA FASO TODAY FOR THEIR PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION.

              Vice President Yemi Osinbajo {SAN} represented President Muhammadu Buhari today at the inauguration of a new and democratically elected president of Burkina Faso,Roch Marc Christian Kabore.Kabore emerged the winner last month after their general elections in Burkina Faso.Earlier in September 2015,President Buhari had presided over an Extra-ordinary session of ECOWAS leaders in Abuja regarding a military coup that took place that month in Burkina Faso.The meeting called for the restoration of civil rule and supported the progress of the political transition.This culminated in the November presidential and parliamentary elections in the country.Osinbajo represented President Bhari at the follow up meeting of select ECOWAS leaders in the nation's capital city Ouagadougou.That meeting contributed to the termination of the military coup and restoration of Burkina Faso's democratic transition.More photos below.
