DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. According to some pressmenone person was diagnosed at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital {LUTH},Idi Araba,involves a 25 year old student from Ahmadu Bello University.The patient is said to have been admitted first at a private hospital in Ojokoro are of Lagos state.According to the Minister of Health,Professor Isaaac Adewole,the patient is reponding to treatment.The Minister advised residents of affected states not to panic but to maintain high level vigilance and present themselves for test if they feel unhealthy or they feel symptoms of Lassaa Fever which include high fever,stooling,tiredness and vomiting among others.He cautioned that self medication should be avioded at this period.From my research,Lassa fever was first discovered in a town called ''Lassa'' in Born state in 1969,from the name of the town,the disease got its name.So far 13 states in Nigeria have so far been affected.The states affected include Bauchi,Nasarawa,Niger,Taraba,Kano,Rivers,Edo,Plateau,Gombe,Abuja,Lagos,Imo and Oyo state.People should ensure their food is properly covered,either cooked or uncooked.Liquid soup and antiseptics should be used to wash the hands.One more photo below.
