 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. 2 SUICIDE BOMBERS TRYING TO TARGET A SCHOOL TODAY IN CAMEROON,DIED INSTEAD.

                    Today thursday according to a local official who confirmed that,two suicide bombers died when they targeted a school in northern Cameroon.''The double attack occured in the public school in the town of Kerawa''.While there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack,northern Cameroon has become the scene of increasingly frequent suicide attacks as /boko Haram militants step up cross-border violence that has also affected Chad and Niger.An attack targeting a market in north Cameroon three days ago killed 32 people and wounded 66 in one of the deadliest attacks in the country to date.One more photo below.
