 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 5 KENYAN POLICE KILLED AFTER THEIR TRUCK HITS EXPLOSIVE DEVICE,YESTERDAY.

              According to Reuters,five Kenyan policemen were killed yesterday tuesday in the coastal county of Lamu after truck hit an improvised explosive device planted on the road by Islamist militants al-Shabaab.A senior regional official said ''The truck had about 10 administration police officers and the explosive that blew it up seemed to have been planted on the road they were using''.Senior officials and police declined to give official statement on the attack,saying it was sensitive,and that they still awaited detailed report from officers on the ground.But Lamu Governor Issa Timamy said ''It is unfortunate that once again the nation is mourning the deaths of our five officers killed at the hands of the al-Shabaab''.Meanwhile Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,al-Shaab's military operation spokesman told Reuters that ''We killed eight Kenyan soldiers after we burnt their car with a roadside boom near Lamu area''.The attack comes less than two weekss after Somali Islamist militants al Shabaab attacked a military camp housing Kenyan soldiers who are part of an African Union {AU} force in Somalia {AMISOM}.One more photo below.
