 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov. Ododo emphasized that it is within his powers as the Chief Security Officer of the state under Section 14 subsection 2(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). THE NIGERIAN ARMY,ARRESTED A SUSPECTED MASTERMIND OF THE CHIBOK GIRLS ABDUCTION.

                     Today saturday,the Nigerian Army said that it had put in place machinery to establish the true identity of a suspected leader of the Boko Haram sect,Jarasu Shira,who was apprehended last week in Borno and his believed to be the brain behind the abduction of the Chibok school girls.Major General Lucky Irabor,the Deputy Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole,disclosed this in an interview with NAN in Maiduguri.Irabor said that knowing the true identity of the suspect was to avoid past mistakes where individuals were arrested based on mistaken identities.''We have in our custody a good number of suspected terrorists that were apprehended as a result of our routine operations.One of those suspects is believed to be on the list of our 100 most wanted terrorists leaders''.However the army must ascertain the true identity of the suspect before final confirmation to the media.''There are other things we need to do to ensure that is he who we said he is.Although the facial attributes confirmed he is the one,but it is not just by looks alone.We have had cases where we have mistaken identity only to come up to say we are sorry,that is what we are trying to avoid this time''.Jafaru Shira is believed to be the sect leader around Damboa-Chibok Ashira axis of Borno State before he was apprehended.He is believed to be one of the masterminds of the abduction of Chibok girls on April 14,2014.One more photo below.
