 President Tinubu to Present 2026 Budget on Friday, December 19 President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday, December 19, 2025. Ahead of the presentation, a formal communication from the Presidency will be read on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday, December 18, notifying lawmakers and staff of the President’s appearance. The notification follows a letter dated December 17, 2025, signed by Adm. Essien Eyo Essien, Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, on behalf of the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana. The letter was also copied to the Deputy Clerk and heads of departments. According to the letter, President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will deliver the proposed 2026 budget at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. 2 SOUTH AFRICAN MEN,WHO BEAT & STABBED A MOzAMBICAN TO DEATH,WERE SENTENCED TODAY.#XENOPHOBIA

                      According to a local media report,the two South African men who beat and stabbed a Mozambican man to death during a wave xenophobic violence in April last year were sentenced to 17 and 10 years  in prison in monday.Mthinta Bhengu and Sifundo Mzimela,who were caught on camera attacking Mozambican national Emmanuel Sithole in a township in the economic hub of Johannesburg,were found guilty of murder in November.Bhengu,who has a previous conviction for violent crime,received the harsher sentence,702 Talk Radio reported.Magistrate Van der Schyff said Bhengu continued to attack the Mozambican vendor even while the victim was begging for mercy,the radio said.Van der Schyff said ''It is not acceptable that a person should be killed in this manner''.The wave of anti-immigrant attacks first surfaced in the eastern Kwaulu Natal Province in April before flaring up in Johannesburg.More photos below.
