DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. According to a local media report,the two South African men who beat and stabbed a Mozambican man to death during a wave xenophobic violence in April last year were sentenced to 17 and 10 years in prison in monday.Mthinta Bhengu and Sifundo Mzimela,who were caught on camera attacking Mozambican national Emmanuel Sithole in a township in the economic hub of Johannesburg,were found guilty of murder in November.Bhengu,who has a previous conviction for violent crime,received the harsher sentence,702 Talk Radio reported.Magistrate Van der Schyff said Bhengu continued to attack the Mozambican vendor even while the victim was begging for mercy,the radio said.Van der Schyff said ''It is not acceptable that a person should be killed in this manner''.The wave of anti-immigrant attacks first surfaced in the eastern Kwaulu Natal Province in April before flaring up in Johannesburg.More photos below.
