 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. 30 PEOPLE DIED YESTERDAY IN SOMALIA,AFTER A TWIN BOMB-BLAST.

                 Yesterday sunday,Somalia's al-Shabaab Islamist group bombed a busy junction and a nearby restaurant in the town of Baidoa,killing at least 330 people.Police Colonel Abdi Osman said the death toll was 30,with 40 others injured.A Hospital official said many of the bodies it received were charred beyond recognition.Another police source said a suicide car bomb blew up at the junction while a second blast possibly a bomb that had been planted or a suicide bomber struck the restaurant.Al-Shabaab's military operation spokes man Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,confirmed they were responsible when he told pressmen that ''We targeted government officials and forces'' and he further said ''There was a police station nearby''.One more photo below.
