TROOPS OF OPERATION UDOKA DISMANTLE CRIMINAL SYNDICATE, RECOVER STOLEN WEAPONS Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade, operating under Operation UDOKA through the ongoing Operation EASTERN SANITY II, have recorded a significant operational success with the arrest of key members of a notorious criminal syndicate responsible for the ambush of troops on 4 May 2026. Unfortunately, the ambush claimed the life of one soldier and left another wounded. Following the attack, troops launched a series of intelligence-led raids aimed at apprehending the perpetrators and recovering weapons stolen during the incident. These sustained operations resulted in the arrest of the suspects. Today wednesday it was reported that at least six people were killed and 30 injured in northern Cameroon by two Islamist suicide bombers at a Muslim funeral gathering.The attackers were from Boko Haram,the group based in neighboring Nigeria according to Reuters.One of the officials said the attack in Nguetchewe,about 10 km {6 miles} east of the Nigerian border and it is the first known Boko Haram strike in Cameroon at a funeral gathering,although the militants have made an attack on a baptism in the past.One more photo below.
