 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. W.H.O,WARNS TODAY ABOUT THE FURTHER SPREAD OF zIKA VIRUS TO AFRICA & ASIA FROM LATIN AMERICA.

                                    The zika virus linked to a microcephaly outbreak in Latin America could spread to Africa and Asia,with the world's highest birth rates,the World Health Organization warned as it launched a global response unit against the new emergency.WHO on monday declared an international public health emergency due to zika's link to thousands of recent birth defect in Brazil.Anthony Costello,WHO director for maternal,child and adolescent health said today in a conference in Geneva that ''We've now set up a global response unit which brings together all people across WHO,in headquarters,in the regions,to deal with a formal response using all the lessons we've learned from the Ebola crisis.The reason it's a global concern is that we are worried that this could also spread back to other areas of the world where the population may not be immune.And we know that the mosquitos that carry zika virus-if that association is confirmed-are present...through Africa,parts of southern Europe and many parts of Asia,Particularly South Asia...''.More photos below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
