 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. DOZENS OF PEOPLE DEAD/MISSING IN ANGOLA,AFTER A FLASH FLOOD THAT SWEPT THROUGH A MARKET.

                         According to sources who said today thursday that,at least 24 people,many of them children,died and dozens were missing in Angola after a flash flood swept through a market in the southern city of Lubango.Flood waters from the Capitao river,swollen by nearly 24 hours of torrential rain in the area,washed through the market,where many young Angolans congregated to wash cars and bicycles.According to sources,more than 30 people were believed to be missing.More photos below.
