 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. LAGOS STATE GOVT,URGES ITS CITIZENS TO CELEBRATE EASTER IN MODERATION & AVOID WALKING ALONE IN THE NIGHT ESPECIALLY IN DARK PLACES.

                                      The Lagos state government has assured Lagosians of their safety during the Easter holidays as it is collaborating with security agencies to put in place necessary security measures that will guarantee safety of lives and properties in the state.In a statement issued yesterday wednesday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mr Steve Ayorinde,the government described the safety of Lagosians as top priority during the Easter celebrations as the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will not shirk from its function of protecting the lives and property of its citizens.Ayorinde urged residents and visitors to the state to be conscious of their environment and report promptly any unusual movement,abandoned objects,packages and strange faces in their neighbourhood to security agencies as security personnel have been put on alert throughout the state.While urging Lagosians to celebrate the Easter in moderation,the statement also advised citizens to avoid,as much as possible,walking alone at night,especially on deserted streets.While wishing Lagosians a happy Easter celebrations,Ayorinde reiterated the Akinwunmi Ambode administration's commitment and capacity to go after,and suppress any act of criminality in any part of the state.He therefore urged them to take advantage of the state's toll free lines-112 and 767 in reporting any case of crime or emergency within their neighbourhood.One more photo below.
