 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A CONVENT IS ABOUT TO CLOSE DOWN,BECAUSE GHANA WOMEN REFUSED TO BECOME NUNS FOR THE PAST 18 YEARS.

                  A nun convent in Ghana is likely to soon be closed,since Ghanaian women have refused to become nuns for the past 18 years,since it has been in operation.The Philippine nuns who opened the convent with hopes of filling their ranks haved aged and their superiors have threatened to close the convent if they don't get any members in five years.Only one Ghanaian woman tried to join the Carmelite nuns but ran away.According to sources who said a local Ghanaian woman said ''Leaving my family,my friends behind to go and live such a contemplative life?.I don't think i could do it.I would not be allowed to even watch television.God!''.Father Gerald Zenah,Chaplain of the Catholic Youth in Tamale believes that amending the conditions for entry and raising the age limit of being younger than 40 years might make things better according to DW.One more photo below.
