TERRORISTS, BANDITRY ACTIVITIES IN NORTHWEST HAVE REDUCED- SHEHU SANI. (PHOTO).

 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. LATE TUNJI BRAITHWAITE,TO BE NAMED AFTER DOLPHIN PARK IN LAGOS STATE.

                   In recognition of his various contributions to the political developments in the country,the Lagos State Government intends to name the Dolphin Activist Park after the late Human Rights Activist,Social Crusader,Democrat and Founder of the National Advance Party {NAP} during the 2nd Republic,Dr. Tunji Braithwaite,who died on monday,March 28 at St Nicholas Hospital,Lagos at the age of 82.Governor Ambode,who disclosed on tuesday at a special service of songs organised by the family at Yard 158,Oregun as part of his burial programmes,said it is part of the plan by the present administration to immortalise the late legal luminary and a major actor in the nation's politics.Represented by hiss Deputy,Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule,Ambode noted that the late Dr Braithwaite dedicated his life to the wellbeing and welfare of the masses,adding that on several occasions he had stood for and defended the rights of the common man and at the same time used the law to free Nigerians from oppressive rule and abuse  of power.''As a legal luminary of octopoidal stature,Dr Braithwaite's imprints on the legal profession are not only impressive but will continue to receive accolades even from the generations yet unborn.His legal engagements in the defence of human rights,democratic norms and practice,and the general advancement of frontiers of knowledge through his cerebral work titled ''The Jurisprudence of the Living Oracle'',among other intellectual pursuits,will remain with us and relevant in addressing various challenges in our democratic experience''.One more photo below.
