Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). In a bid to ensure that retired officers continued to live worthy life in retirement,the Lagos State Government has commenced a four day pre-retirement workshop for over 800 Public Servants that would be retiring from the State's Public service in June 2016,at the Public Service Staff Centre,Magodo,Lagos.Speaking at the opening ceremony of the workshop themed ''Managing Pot Service Life'',the Commissioner for Establishments,Training and Pensions,Dr Akintola Benson-Oke said the essence was to prepare participants for life after paid employment so that they would continue to leave good and quality life as they were while in service.According to him ''Having spent a good number of years serving the state diligently,they deserved a worthy parting away gift,which is why in addition to timely payment of their gratuity and pensions that are statutory,the state is also providing them this other life opportunity that would rejuvenate them and make life worthy after in retirement.While urging the participants too maximise the opportunity provided by the workshop to participate actively in all its activities,the Commissioner assured them that the State would never forsake them in retirement which is why the Ambode led administration has never defaulted in thhe payment of pensions and gratuity.He emphasised that in the last one year the state government had paid well over 12 billion naira in the settlement of pension's arrears and had issued of bonds to various retirees whhich is in addition to the implementation of various welfare packages for its pensioners.Responding,Mr Kalikasa Buhari,who spoke on behalf of other retiring officers,lauded the government for the programme,stressing that the knowledge that will be gain from the programme would make them independent of their monthly pension salaries in retirement.He however used the occasion to also call on the government not to relent in the implementation of various pensioners welfare programmes in the state.More photos below.
