Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A nine year old boy has married a 62 year old wife for the second time according to their tradition to appease their ancestors.Sanele Masiela married Helen Shabangu for the second time after marrying last year..Sanele claims to have been told by his ancestors to get married and Helen,a family friend,obliged.The wedding was attended by 100 guests excluding Helen's five children aged between 38 and 28 years and was officiated by Helen's 66 year old husband Alfred Shabangu.The two newly weds are said to live in their separate homes.The boy's mother said ''It was nice to celebrate with a wedding one more,it was after all a calling from the ancestors.By doing his,we made the ancestors happy.If we hadn't done what my son had asked then something bad would have happened in the family''.More photos below.
