 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. A HAJJ AGENT WAS SENTENCED TO 6 YEARS IMPRISONMENT YESTERDAY,FOR N1.5M FRAUD.{PHOTO}.

                                                              The EFCC,on 25th May 2016 secured the conviction of one Mallam Kabiru Jibrin before Justice Joseph Awak of Gombe State High Court after he was found guilty of a three count charge bordering on obtaining one million,five hhundred and sixty thousand naira {N1.560.000} by false pretence.The complainant,Aliyu Audu Awwal,had alleged that the convict defrauded him and one Mallam Hussani Kumo,of the sum of N1.560,000 on the pretext that the said amount will be used to secure Hajj seats for them which he never did but diverted the money for his personal use.Kumo also alleged that the convict collected his Honda Accord car 2005 model under the guise that he will sell the car and use the proceed to secure additional Hajj seats which he never did.
