DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. The EFCC,on 25th May 2016 secured the conviction of one Mallam Kabiru Jibrin before Justice Joseph Awak of Gombe State High Court after he was found guilty of a three count charge bordering on obtaining one million,five hhundred and sixty thousand naira {N1.560.000} by false pretence.The complainant,Aliyu Audu Awwal,had alleged that the convict defrauded him and one Mallam Hussani Kumo,of the sum of N1.560,000 on the pretext that the said amount will be used to secure Hajj seats for them which he never did but diverted the money for his personal use.Kumo also alleged that the convict collected his Honda Accord car 2005 model under the guise that he will sell the car and use the proceed to secure additional Hajj seats which he never did.
