Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. A top Chinese official has refuted claims that China has been selling human meat as corned beef in Africa.China's Foreign Ministry spokesman,Hong Lei,was reacting to report on social media after an unnamed Zambian woman living in China warned people against consuming corned beef from that country.The woman said that Chinese firms had been collecting dead bodies and packaging them in cans before sending them to Africa.Hong Lie said ''We express dissatisfaction towards irresponsible reports.The Chinese embassy in Zambia has introduced the true circumstances to the Zambian government and the public,and asked relevant media to investigate relevant reports thoroughly and eliminate the serious,negative effects brought by such reports''.The Zambian government has said it will launch investigations into the alleged reports.More photos below.
