  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. LWC,APPEALS TO THE PUBLIC TODAY ON DISRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLY IN LAGOS.

                               Lagos Water Corporation has appealed to the general public over the discomfort and inconveniences presently being experienced due to the disruption of water supply in some parts of Lagos metropolis.A statement issued today by the Corporation,noted that the disruption of water supply is due to shortage of gas in its Independent Power Plant {IPP} at Akute Intake and other water power plants as a result of current vandalization of gas pipelines in the Niger Delta Region of the Country.While noting that the shortage of gas has adversely affected the production as its various water facilities across the State,it maintained that the Corporation is current working relentlessly on an alternative power supply for its Waterworks.The statement therefore assured the public of the Corporation's commitment to providing uninterrupted water supply soon and urged them to bear with her as the problem will soon be rectified.More photos below.
