 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. LWC,APPEALS TO THE PUBLIC TODAY ON DISRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLY IN LAGOS.

                               Lagos Water Corporation has appealed to the general public over the discomfort and inconveniences presently being experienced due to the disruption of water supply in some parts of Lagos metropolis.A statement issued today by the Corporation,noted that the disruption of water supply is due to shortage of gas in its Independent Power Plant {IPP} at Akute Intake and other water power plants as a result of current vandalization of gas pipelines in the Niger Delta Region of the Country.While noting that the shortage of gas has adversely affected the production as its various water facilities across the State,it maintained that the Corporation is current working relentlessly on an alternative power supply for its Waterworks.The statement therefore assured the public of the Corporation's commitment to providing uninterrupted water supply soon and urged them to bear with her as the problem will soon be rectified.More photos below.
