We remain resolute to frustrate drug syndicates targeting Nigeria, says Marwa The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has secured an order of a Federal High Court in Lagos to detain a ship, its captain and 20 other crew members following the seizure of 25.5 kilograms of cocaine in the hatch of the commodity vessel from Brazil at the Apapa seaport in Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Operatives of the NDLEA acting on credible intelligence had on 6th December 2025 discovered the cocaine consignment aboard the merchant vessel MV San Anthonio from Brazil. After the full discharge of cargo from the ship, a total of 21 crew members of diverse nationalities including Russia, Phillipines, Ukraine and Azerbaijan were taken into NDLEA custody along with the drug exhibits. Please recall that the troops were exploiting aftermath of the attack by Boko Haram terrorists on their location last night {yesterday sunday} in Sambisa forest despite unclaimant climatic conditions.Please be informed that 8 more Boko Haram terrorists dead bodies were found today monday morning in addition to other recoveries made.Therefpre,attached here are more photographs of the recoveries that include vehicles,arms and ammunitions.In a related development yesterday sunday 8th May 2016,at about 10:30pm,3 Boko Haram terrorists went to Puchi village to tax the community.On received of information,troops of 7 Division mobilized in conjunction with some Civilian JTF to the area.On arrival,they found out that the residents have apprehended 2 of the terrorists and lynched them,while the third one narrowly escaped according to reports.The troops recovered 1 AK--47 rifle,1 rifle magazine and 8 round of 7.62mm ammunition and a Dane Gun.-Colonel Sani Kukasheku Usman.Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.
